Training Techniques
Dramatrain have many techniques that can be adapted to a variety of working environments. Here are just some of the techniques we use in our training.
The Living Case Study
a shared learning experience
A lively piece of drama researched and created to reflect what’s happening now in your organisation.
We create characters your staff can relate to working in a fictional organisation which mirrors their own.
Working with our actors and facilitator delegates examine the situation from all points of view. They can then work together to resolve issues, share experiences and find new creative solutions to use in the ‘real world’
Individual Case Studies
a chance to practise
Much more effective than traditional role play. Delegates interact with our actors playing the role of a colleague, a customer, team member etc on a one to one basis in break out rooms.
They receive constructive feedback to build confidence and enhance their people skills
Corporate Brain
even closer to real life
With the help of our actors and facilitator, delegates create their own characters and situations to work through ‘live’ workplace issues
The Auction
pick your lots and get bidding!
A fun activity based on a real auction to help delegates prioritise and focus on what’s important.
Can be used in many contexts – teamwork, health & safety, managing people and many more.
Tetramap
A technique to help individuals understand themselves and their own behaviour in order to deal more effectively with others who have different personalities and behaviour.
Based on the elements of Earth Air Fire and Water TetraMap is an internationally recognised system for developing greater understanding between people. It complements and enhances our drama based training.
Diggy Wilson is a certified TetraMap facilitator: www.tetramap.co.uk
